I do have a teapot, and use it for loose leaf Assam etc, but seems wasteful to make a pot of green tea just for myself. So I use the Sencha bags in a cup.
Tea strainers (aka sieves) are definitely getting harder to find, are fewer people using loose leaf teas?
We haven't abandoned dairy products here. Somebody on Radio 4 was recently saying you might as well drink full fat milk, as semi-skimmed looses some of the useful vitamins. Skimmed is a waste of time. And in any case, 'full fat' isn't 100% fat!

Re-reading my threads, I see that the advice on temperature is not included in here. We have bought thermometers to makes sure that the water is no hotter than 80*C when you make the tea. Proper boiling kills off the good stuff. We add a spalsh of cold to the hot until the temp is low enough to suit .. I have found it tastes better this way too.
