I have taken daily multivitamins and flax for years, partly in the belief that most of the food we buy isn't that abundant in such items. The soil that we use for growing is pumped full of nitrates, food travels hundreds if not thousands of miles to get to us, and is goodness only knows how old before we get to eat it. I'm not 'wild' about supplements but will take them (Dr Udos Greens is another) Eating out... oatcakes are generally good, and a lot of places have them up here, and having given up caffeine (acid) peppermint tea seems to be widely available

I have added milled flax to my breakfast for a while now, and I take calcium, joint supplement and occasional zinc ... but I don't do a multi-vit... I guess I should ...

I agree, chools, about the much travelled food - not a good idea for many reasons.
I take a scant tsp of flax seeds everyday now (is that enough?), give them a good chew, which can be difficult!

I quite like this little page on how to battle with sugar, I have been reading around this lately: Battle Sugar

Personally, I have totally given up on soft drinks, but just in case anyone is in any doubt about the deadly role of Coke etc in our country's health problems ...
it really is the devil's work, full of nothing good and lots of sugar syrups and other rubbish ...
