Dear friends I have been charged with letting you know some sad news. One of our group has died this week.
Her dear sister, Shelley, who supported her throughout has told me this: Leah died this morning, very peacefully and gracefully.
Leah, a lovely, spirited woman who has regularly written on the internet for fellow cancer patients. She recently shared her story about the fight she had with her PTC to get her SIRT treatment. I saw Leah just before Christmas and she was optimistic and enjoying life. She was decorating part of her house and this year she had managed to see the Gaugin exhibition that we had talked of seeing together, but she had been too weary at that time. I took this news as a sign that she was gaining strength. Her last posts to me showed no sign that she was near the end.
However, in the last couple of weeks I had heard from Shelley that Leah had taken to bed with back pain and insomnia. It seems that her final decline was swift. I trust that she is at peace now. Her last words to me were that she was delighted about my scan, and that people can survive. I hope she is right, and I am so, so sad that this could not be true for her. It was Leah who persisted in recommending the Anti-cancer book to me, and I will be forever grateful to her for that. God bless her spirit and her family.

I'm still finding this hard to believe, she was so positive in her last posts on another forum.
I think I will pinch Loopy's signature.....

I've only just spotted this thread & just signed in here. In all honesty, I don't know the lady but the name rings a bell. ........ I am sorry too and hope that her inspiration is a guide for us all. ........ The few people I have met who have suffered cancer did tend to show immense courage, hope & optimism. And it does put things in perspective. ........
