I never started a thread on herbs before, but there is lots of evidence that your health can be boosted by adding fresh herbs to your meals .. We have a few pots of rosemary, parsely, sage, mint, fennel, oregoano, thyme and marjoram about the places we live ...you can make a nice tea from steeping a few of these in a pot if you forget to cook with them!

Tricky time of year for fresh herbs,
Waving a sad goodbye to the zingy freshness of mint .. which I love ins salads
but still got lots of sage which is lovely with roasted buternut squash ..

Apparently ---- the herb called savory, winter or summer variety, is good with beans and reduces flatulence . hmmm useful!
