Some time ago I heard that my mate Liz had a pal with pancreatic cancer who had been told to go home and get her affairs in order.
Lets call this pal Jilly
Jilly had pancreatic cancer which was too big / too tricky to operate on
They did a course of chemo but the tumour was still too big to operate on so they sent her away with not much hope of improvement and a terminal diagnosis.
My mate Liz sent her mate Jilly a copy of the Anti-cancer book, and Jilly adopted the advice in it.
When Jilly went back for her 6 month scan they found that her tumour had shrunk enough for them to operate, so with some sense of amazement they did the operation.
Jilly is currently cancer free.
I nearly burst with pleasure when I heard this ..
I attribute Lizzy with saving my life in as much as she kept on at me to see my GP right at the start when I had my head in the sand, and now it seems she has passed on my good vibe to another mate who is doing really well now after her terminal diagnosis ..
None of us is saying it is all about the book but we do reckon it helps, and I am so pleased for Jilly

Good to know. There's evidently much to be said for us taking contol, looking after ourselves properly, plus never giving up.
