I hope a few new people come through as a result of the talk I gave yesterday at the Beating Bowel Cancer Patient Day. Certainly a number of people expressed an interest in looking up more about the books that have inspired me, and maybe some of my recipes! If you are here from that event, you do not have to join to read, but you do have to join if you are moved to add comments of your own. Either way you are very welcome and I hope you find this stuff interesting and maybe even motivating to make some healthy changes for yourself. Suze Attachments:

Also if you find navigating the site difficult, just ask and I can offer a bit of guidance on that to ..

Well you inspired me to add turmeric to the dinner today, it brightened it up and still tasted good, if it helps why not

Hello Sue, I was at the Patient day, I really enjoyed your presentation and I am hoping to alter my diet with the help of your recipes, thank you for giving your time to help people like myself.

Hi Suze.
I really enjoyed the day and your presentation has inspired me to pick up my copy of David Servan Schreibers book. I have been lazy with my diet and now I have finished chemo I have the go ahead from my oncologist to start a weight loss plan and to give myself the best chance of keeping the cancer at bay.
Will be looking for recipes.
Regards Dawn x

Great news .. I really hope it helps you. I am very enthusiastic about this stuff, and think it gives us a better chance of beating our prognosis, not a miracle cure but a steady drip of natural chemotherapy. Now cancer has forced me into retirement (I was told I was incurable when I got secondaries over 4 years ago .. ) I have been happy to spend my time sharing this with others, since it does seem to have worked for me, I really hope it works for others too .. though if you were in the talk about personalised chemo we learnt a lot about why some stuff does and some stuff doesn't work for us as individuals . Happy eating!

Regards Dawn x Great, you are very welcome. Like I just said to Andy, it seems to have worked for me, both in terms of keeping my cancer at bay and in terms keeping my weight under contorl If you are looking to lose weight this basic programme that I outlined - berries etc for breakfast
- curry soup for lunch
- veggie something for tea
will work and nourish you well at the same time .. I struggle with too many calories in my snacks and a habit of still accepting sweet stuff when it is offered, but the best thing for me in terms of calorie control is not drinking, cos the calories in that are a big deal .. dunno if you drink or not, if not you have too look elsewhere to make your reductions!
