I wont actually do this every day, and it's not a sacred space, anyone is free to post their own, or comment on mine.
Mine will mosty be taken from Spiritual Diary ~ a collection of inspirational thoughs for each day of the year, by Paramahansa Yogananda (and others). When we're doing our yoga we usually read the thougth for the day from here too.

May 25th - Wisdom
The greatest thing you can to to cultivate true wisdom is to paractise the consiousness of the world as a dream.
If failure comes, say: "It is a dream." Then shut off the thought of failure from your mind. In the midst of negative conditions, practise opposition by thinking and acting in a positive and constructive way.

Worry does not empty tomorrow of its sorrows; it empties today of its strength.

Worry does not empty tomorrow of its sorrows; it empties today of its strength. How true ... there surely will be sorrow ahead, there always is ... cancer or no cnacer ... but if we dwell on that now we squeeze out the joy of being alive that we can have here. Thanks for this, jan. I especially need it today ---> scanning time makes it harder than usual to keep those worries in their box.

I don't have the book with me today but I just saw this in another forum and thought this would be good for me today. It was written by someone whose name I appropriated --- I wish I was as funny as him.
My own business always bores me to death; I prefer other people's. ~Oscar Wilde

Almost all of life's misfortunes come from false ideas we hold about what is happening to us. Stendahl Journal (1801 - 1805)

Sat 29th May - Wisdom
Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: And the rain descended and the floods came and the winds blew and beat upon that house, and it fell not: for it was built upon a rock.
Jesus

June 1st - Peace
Fix your mind inwardly betweenthe eyebrows on the shoreless lakes of peace. Watch the eternal circle of rippling peace around you.
The more you watch intently the more you will feel the wavelets of peace spreading from the eyebrows to the forehead, from the forehead to the heart and so on, out through every cell of your body.
Now the waters of peace are overflowing the banks of your body and inundating the vast territory of your mind.
The flood of peace flows over the boundaries of your mind and moves on in infinite directions.

Look into Your Hand
I have a friend who is an artist. Before he left Vietnam forty years ago, his mother held his hand and told him, "Whenever you miss me, look into your hand, and you will see me immediately."
Over the years, my friend looked into his hand many times. The presence of his mother is not just genetic. Her spirit, her hopes, and her life are also in him. When he looks into his hand, he can see thousands of generations before him and thousands of generations after him. He can see that he exists not only in the evolutionary tree branching along the axis of time, but also in the network of interdependent relations. He told me that he never feels lonely.
When my niece came to visit me last summer, I offered her "Look into Your Hand" a a subject for her meditation. I told her that every pebble, every leaf, and every butterfly are present in her hand.

June 2nd - PeacePeace is found in surrender to good through devotion. People who are loving, who practise stillness, who delight in meditation and good actions, are really peaceful. Peace is the alter of God, the condition in which happiness exists.

June 3rd - Peace
Live each present moment completely and the future will take care of itself.
Fully enjoy the wonder and beauty of each instant.
Practise the presence of peace.
The more you do that the more you will feel the presence of that power in your life.

June 4th - PeaceThe peaceful individual remaisn calm until she wants to work then she swings into action: and as soon as she is through she swings back to the centre of calmness. You must always be calm, like the pendulum that is still, but ready to swing into action whenever necessary.

1. Do you ever wonder about those people who spend £2.00 a piece on those little bottles of Evian water? Try spelling Evian backwards.
2. Isn't making a smoking section in a restaurant like making a peeing section in a swimming pool?
3. If 4 out of 5 people suffer from diarrhoea... does that mean that one in five enjoys it?
4. Why is the man who invests all your money called a broker?
5. Why do croutons come in airtight packages? Aren't they just stale bread to begin with?
6. If it's true that we are here to help others, then what exactly are the others here for?
