OK, for anne, and anyone else who uses flickr to store photos on line It IS possible to import photos from flickr to here. Open the photo you want Look in top left corner, same line as any title you've given your image you see a SHARE THIS button Open SHARE THIS and you see about four sub headings Select GRAB THE HTML If you grab the whole lot it doesn't work in here, but deep in the middle there is the bit of coding that WILL work in here href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/50524625@N03/4639004880/" title="footie fans by suze 58, on Flickr"><img src=" http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4055/4639004880_7221b03b9d.jpg " width="480" height="360" alt="footie fans" /></a> Just select the bit that starts HTTP and ends JPG and bring over here Insert between usual code in here [ img][/img] and bob's your aunty: [ img]http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4055/4639004880_7221b03b9d.jpg[/img] clever hey?

Before you can share photos on this forum you have to have the hosted somewhere else on the internet. For this purpose I have used 1. a blog 2. facebook 3. photobucket 4. flickr 1. You could set up a blog and just use it to store your photos 2. I wouldn't advise getting tangled in facebook if you're not already doing it 3. photobucket and flickr are similar 4. flickr is harder to find the code from to use in here, on photbucket the way you need it for use in here is clearly available, SO if you dont need flickr for sharing with other photgraphers etc I recommend [shadow=red,left,300] photbucket.[/shadow] I'll post the links to both of these .. they're not the only image hosting sites, but they are the ones I know, so if things aren't dead obvious to you on them I might be able to help! clicky links: photobucketflickrmore instructions will follow! cart off and learn about joining one of these and getting your phots from your pc onto the internet while I'm away! be careful to tick all the right privacy boxes .. you should be able to find settings that allow you to limit access to your images!

1. Step one: Get the code for your photoNB: The picture should not be too big, it makes the page funny, which is annoying! Large photos will need resizing to a smaller size before uploading - PLEASE! You can resize in photobucket, using their edit button, which is pretty good - you can crop and fiddle with their pixel size quite easily now. Aim for max of 300 x 300 pixels, please. Once you've uploaded an image to a host (or found a picture on line)( you have access to an http address for the image .. copy it and bring it back here to use... If you're using photobucket the code will be under the image in your album (easy) it is the one that says IMGcode when you hover the mouse over the photo. If you're using another website or any other image you spot on-line you need to: right click on the photo open "properties" copy the url that you will then see as part of the image's properties ------------------------------------------------------ Step Two: Put your code in hereTo put a picture in a thread you simply click on the button you can see in "post reply" frame. It is on the second row, fourth one in, it looks like a photo in a white frame. (if you hover your mouse over the image, it tells you what it does: "insert image") In between the and brackets you put your photo's http address. If you don't input your image inside these brackets it will just show a link to the image. In here I've found that it won't work if you leave any extra space in around your bracketed bit.

How to put an image on here - with pictorial instructions (thanks to anne!) This is what I've said above, but with images to show the details .. great to be recylincg this lovely piece of work! 1) Go to Google and find yourself a pic (e.g. a duck-haired cat). Double click on it and something like this (below) appears on your screen. Double click on the message that says 'see full-size image' 2) When the image is on your screen you right click and a grey box like this comes up. Double click on 'properties (where arrow points) 3) You will get another grey box like this. You need to use your left mouse button to highlight and then copy the top line (arrowed). You copy something by right clicking your highlighted line. 4) Now you got to the suze forum main reply box and click on the Image Icon, arrowed 5) You paste (by right clicking and hitting 'paste') as shown on the illustration lovely Anne, top of the class!

best tip when you've got your photos up is to have three windows or tabs open at once
1. this one telling you what to do 2. your source of your saved image 3. the place in here where you are trying to post your photo
