Next week Brigid and I will be doing 80k Challenge ride for Prostate cancer around the hills and dales of Stoke On Trent ... This is the charity linked to the Tour of Britain, we did it last year but never raised any money from sponsorship! This year I registered on line so we automatically get a sponsorship page, so if you'd like to donate to this charity, then here is the link: sponsor us Thanks!

Thanks to two of you who've already sponsored us .. there is a thing on the site to email sponsors to say thanks, which I've done, but I'm not sure that the emails actually went ... cos they sort of deal with the addressses behind the scenes
Perhaps you'd let me know if you did/didn't get it ..
anyrate, if you didn't get an email via them from me, we ARE really grateful
thanks

How dim am I? I didn't realise this was a sponsored ride when you mentioned it to us on Saturday. Prostate cancer is definitely nasty, good job there are people like you trying to do something helpful. Hope you cope.

Yes, good for you Sue. I'll be thinking of you.
I don't actually put my bank details anywhere on line so I'll get son-&-heir to do the sponsor thing. I like the old fashioned way of sending a cheque through the post. I didn't notice a print-off form for sending through the post with cheque. That's what I do for animal charities.
Good luck with it.

hi poppy. don't worry about it, I wasn't really doing it for sponsorship, in the first place, but they set it up automatically when I entered us on line
I dont want to be repsonsible for cheques, tho obviously that is an option, I just want ppl to do it on-line so I don't have to mither with any money! If you dont want to do that, that's fine ..

I did 65 mils in Scotland recetnly, so I think it'll be fine .. and it's fun doing it with other ppl and with feed station where you can stuff your self with maltloaf! HAHA not exactly anti-cancer food, but nice!

Almost too easy for you then. You could always do a lap of honour.

I could always do the 100 miles route that the actual racers did, which included climbs in the Peaks, but I know my limits!

I think I would consider shooting myself if I was facing a 100 mile bike ride.

haha -- well I'm not considering it either, my average miles an hour is way too slow to do that .. it would literally take me all day .. the pros in a peloton do it in about 4 hours !

Hi. Well I've done the sponsor donation thing now. Craig has done it on line his end, & I've given him the cash. He is used to doing Ebay buying on-line. So it's nothing to him. I just have a fear of 'hackers' getting bank details & using it. Just a personal 'phobia' which my son doesn't have. Anyway Sue, hope you are ready for it.
