Felt strangley deprived at doc's tonight, the CD of my PET scan images had not arrived, so we could not look at technicolour images of my innards .... dammmn Luckily the written report was there, though, and Dr A was working hard to persuade me that the news is GOOD. That there are no other tumours is certainly GOOD and that the surgery will be a GOOD thing ... I am awake now, pondering this world-view of having your lungs cut open as good news I will hear from the surgeon to fix time and place in due course! x

Yes it is!... lets get it into perspective, surgery was only going to be possible if there were not any new crumbs, and if what is there, isn't near to anything major.
I found this..albeit a couple of years old, but good anyway
The Japanese study suggests that even after colon cancer has spread to the liver and the lungs, having a surgery to remove the tumors can greatly improve survival rates, leading to more meaningful years of life. This type of surgery also may provide more time during which new drugs can be discovered and tested, possibly improving survival further.
The longer a person with metastatic cancer lives, the more likely that he or she will be around to benefit from new medical advances designed to turn cancer into a manageable, chronic disease, not something that greatly shortens life. Along with better and longer life, the surgery study also offers something that all cancer survivors need and deserve to have: Hope for the future.

Just gone 5-o clock, so I guess you are now at the shed. Well Dr. Adab knows you well and I guess he would only suggest surgery if he thought it the best way to go. You said this morning that you didnt like chemo. it made you feel so sick, and Dr. Adab knows this. I suppose its a waiting game now, for this other Dr. to get cracking. Bye for now L.M. xxxxx
