Been to Poole today for a run out took a picnic, it was windy so sat in the car. Came home via the car ferry, decided not to go to Swanage diverted passed Corfe castle. Ann just a tip or two if you come to Poole next week. Most coaches unload by the Poole pottery, now the toilets in there are on the back wall and are the cleanest ones. Bring your lunch because you will need a second mortgage to eat on the Island. You could nip into the little Tesco. The Tesco is as you get off the bus go towards the front and its To the left passing a shoe shop and a couple more, they sell sandwiches and drinks ect. If you have time for a coffee go towards the sea but go right and Wetherspoons is there just about five buildings along. Hope you enjoy the visit L.M. xxxxx

Thanks ever so much for the information mn'd, that's useful to know - especially about taking a packed lunch. We are going with the local branch of our County Wildlife Trust, so won't be spending time in Poole itself - I think part of the island is kept as a nature reserve which is only accessible with a warden (maybe wrong on this, could be thinking of somewhere else). It would be nice if we could go into the pottery before returning home, there probably will be I had an interesting reunion with 8 school friends down in deepest Devon yesterday - the woman who hosted is absolutely lovely, yet we hardly spoke at school, life is odd isn't it? It's a cliche bit I really do wish I knew then what I know now. She lives in a converted barn, with a free standing conservatory in the garden - big enough for a table which all nine of us sat round quite comfortably. Her kitchen wasn't as nice as your new one sounds, though, suze!

Had a early start went to Wey. on the bus. Went into a few shops as we strolled to the harbour. Went into Wetherspoons for a coffee and bacon bun. Came back along the front, quite perterbed the beach had been cleaned and was beautiful, but with the awful storm on Friday night something black, looks like crude oils been washed onto the sand. It could be dead seaweed, but Im very doubtful of that. Bye L.M. xxxxPS went to get a birthday card for Luke today goodness either they were for little boys or for beer guzlers, will look in Dorchester for one tomorrow.

Yes bad news indeed about the beach looking grim. Pollution is an awful problem. ...... Last night I went to the Laurel & Hardy meeting. It was quite good but it is a shame there is such a small turn-out. I think other areas have larger numbers. ..... Today I had family lunch at Windmill pub in Werrington. Very nice. Now it's just the rest of the day at home. ... Weather sunny with a bit of wind blowing. quite nice though. .... Hope everyone is well. We are ok here.

Well done on the 11.11 on the 11th post! ;D
I have been incredibly lazy today; had the flat to myself and despite plans to walk up to Wookey I just hung around indoors!
I went to my first session at the local Painting Group on Monday - most of the 36 members were out hanging their Annual Exhibition in the Cathedral cloisters (suze - hopefully I will be exhibiting a couple of mine next year!). I just played around since it was my first session, started an acrylic abstract based on one of my photo manipulations.

Good to hear you are doing some art work Anne -- the group might give you some determination
dunno what was up with me, yest, I didn't do anything much at all ... quite flat really ..
Today will be better off to club in a minute and then lunch in Stoke with a pal, and meet up with B / see builders later ...
Tomorrow is FOOTBALL day, of course, think we will see it in a pub, then all being well the granite is coming on Monday and the kitchen will be finished .. hard to believe! LOL
