Hello folks. Oh yes the clocks! Craig altered our clocks here. Mind you he forgot to do the one in the loft room & I was sitting at the sewing machine & when I looked up I thought, 'blimey is that the time? Then it struck me what had happened. ....... I've just googled Guy Faulkes. Has anyone ever done that? It's interesting to read. It seems he took a more minor role in the plot but was caught first. If I read it right i.e. They were all tortured & had an awful death, being hung drawn & quartered. I also read that the gunpowder had deteriorated so there wouldn't have been a massive explosion. ..... Anyway, I'll just finish by saying I won't be buying fireworks at all. Is anyone here buying any?

Not on your Nellie,we used to sit in our big bay window in Coventry watching all the ones in the surrounding gardens, eating treats we had saved from not buying them.Susan its just started to rain 2-30 so we made it to Tesco without getting wet. Dads in the garage tidying the space for the new drier thats coming tomorrow. Just had a nice chicken salad for lunch, doing a lobby for tea. Bye for now L.M. xxxxxxxx

We have only ever bought a few sparklers, though I do enjoy fireworks. Mum, I still stand in the bay in Coventry watching other people's money burn.

Well done Anne,
and glad to hear it is good news from Reigate on the family front .. phew
I am on a date with my wife tonight, Pizza and a movie -- traditional stuff ... I was thinking to go and see Tin Tin, cos I loved that as a kid, but the reviews suggest the animatin doesn't have the warmth of the original cartoons, so I am going to skip that and probably go see Help instead, since by chance my sister was just enthusing about this as a good read .. so I'll see film first and read later .. probably the best way around with a long book!

sorry to find I missed recording the last episode of Hidden cos I uynplugged the box while we were away last week, and the BBC have been punctilious in taking it off the i-payer
how do they decide what to leave on for longer than a week? Garn, will have to buy it in DVD now! x

Beautiful day, have hung out loads of heavy trousers and jackets so hopefully they will dry. Got some new slippers I find flip fops cold now, also with being in more they make the joint on the big toe ache. Also got a pair of cheap shoes those Ks I got last week and my Clarkes ones are such strong leather they need to be worn alot more to soften them up. Bruno is coming up tonight the family are off to a firework party at a friends house, they dont want to leave the dog on his own. Dads just gone for a doze, Bye for now L.M. xxxxx

Hiya -- yes, a good drying day here too, breezy with occasional sunbeams
So we were making good progress with three weeks worth of laundry when the washer stopped spinning .. it makes the noise but doesn't actually spin!
So B has gone out to buy a new machine ... she reckons it hasn't been working properly for ages ...
I will be turning the telly up load tonigh to avoid hearing all the bangs and cracks, dogs aren't the only ones scared by the noise tonight! \

Tin Tin may not be as warm as the old original (don't know as I was too young obviously) but it is excellent and I think it's worth a rethink on going, love you Ju xxx
