More excuses than a bullshitter? More than a naughty schoolkid? More than an MP?

Our day had an unusual start. At 8am I was at the walk in medical centre with Luke. Luckily a sore lump in his neck was nothing to worry about, so I took him to school then made it to work just as they were starting to panic. I'd tried to ring twice but nobody picked up!
Thinking of you Susan. What a torture it must be waiting to be told which way your life will go next. I love you .

Weird. Yes, very weird. Life is a bit like a river isn't it? Mostly sedate and meandering, but the rapids and waterfalls are where it gets exciting. Speak to you later. x

Hiya - I love Mark's river analogy. I was thinking the other day your scan must be due soon, suze - too late for a good luck message but I've popped a note in your scan thread xx
Was everyone's fireworks night noisy then? I miss being able to look across to Bristol and watch all the displays in the distance, but on the other hand we spent three hours (in the pouring rain) watching the fantastic Wells Carnival procession (the same one that goes through Bridgwater). I'll put some photos on my FB account later. People work all year on their floats, the largest ones are 100 ft long! I liked one that displayed "The fall of the Tsar" which had some splendid horses and riders, everyone sitting and standing very still, even though they were depicting a battle.
Is your boiler working now, suze? You don't need all that just before Christmas.

Hello all. Hope everyone feels well & positive.
I haven't done a great deal today. A couple of wash-loads, but that's quite normal.
I'm about to sort out a DVD to watch. There are so many I don't know which one to pick. Needless to say I'm in a very indecisive mood.
Craig is at his mate's house. The cats are sleeping & the dogs next door are howling. As I've typed that, the next door neighbour has just arrived back, so the dogs have gone quiet. They do pine for a little while when left alone. You don't get that with cats do you? Anyway, I've no news so I'll go. Bye.

I agree it is lovely to hear Toby playing his music ...
I see you have drawn a veil over the comedy element of hearing Julie and me in our karaoke over Adele that we did when I was last down there!
GASP ---- she had to confess that she had encouraged Toby to play it to the assembled crowd of sensible adults ... ... good grief
