Hello, sis, rare to see you in here .. weeeeelllll, as it happens, by the time we go to the venue there wasn't enough time to eat b4 the film .. so given the choice of eat or film, we obviously had to opt for EAT .. tho we did some shopping first, then and both got new coats! so the film is still a mystery ...

Tin Tin may not be as warm as the old original (don't know as I was too young obviously) obviously ;D funny enough, today's comments in the Grauniad were a lot warmer than the review I read earlier in the week .. tbh I do set a lot of store by that paper for chosing what to watch on small or large screen, so this ambiguity has confused me ... perhaps I'll go next week with Mr K ... tho he wants to see that Kevin thing .. which sounds altogether darker btw when did you get time to see Tin Tin?

It's not noisy November here now, it is unusually quiet since our neighbours moved out. We are not missing the commotion of 3 kids and a gong. We saw some great fireworks around here last night, seems to me they have improved a lot recently. I like the look of Tintin, but have only seen the trailer. Wish I'd refered to the IMDb before watching Max Payne on tv last night. It wasn't too good. V for Vendetta was much better. Sunny and clear blue sky. And SO peaceful. Lovely. btw Susan, x x x x x

Beautiful here today. Lots of fireworks last night but kept the T V. on loudish so Bruno didnt get bothered by them. Just had lunch. Dads in the shed making a handle for the electric car polisher, hes making it into a floor polisher for me. Just wish you could buy energy I feel absolutely fagged out today. Can not wait to see Strictly c dancing tonight.I think last weeks show was brilliant it was good last night but last week was so good.I hope some of the better ones dont get knocked off in preferance to the poor ones. Bye for now L.M. xxxxx

BTW Mark, we went out to Roaches today (photos on facebook) and I put the shoes you got me to the test .. not that I intended to use them for hiking, but my usual hiking boots are at the shed, so I wore these new ones cos they hacve a better grip than anything else I own
.. luckily didn't get them too muddy and they were very comfy .. great!

Pleased to know the footwear has been useful. I really like The Roaches and all the countryside round there. It feels like a place where I belong. Anyway, I look forward to giving my own fancy footwear some usage up there with you and B. x

What a drag to have a broken boiler, at least you can get it fixed now before the extremes of the winter. Reminds me we haven't had ours serviced in ages, the plan was to get a new system this year. Bought a car instead! Maybe next year for the boiler. Good luck with yours, hope the plumber shows up early. x

yes, hope the plumber comes early -- I am a fan heater short of a full set here as I took one to the shed, and the other had the plug taken off it by someone I lent it to I have not mended that yet! In fact after all the shuffling of stuff that has gone on here in the last few months I couldn't find it at all yesterday! LOL .. so pretty cold here atm! No doubt he will not be able to fix it straigh away, and there will be running about / delay as parts are accmulated .. there is warning about the fan but worse than that it literally stopped working !

And why not ... I prefer alliteration!!
And at the time it was very noisy, goodness knows why ppl need fireworks to sound like a battle field ... ... .... I really do not understand it!

A plumber arriving with the necessary component doesn't sound likely. Couldn't politely say what I'd expect them to have in their hand. But hopefully the repair won't be too long winded.
Some of the fireworks do go off with a ruddy great boom don't they? I like it!
