Went into Bath with lots of minor tasks and didn't get far with any of them .. .. but I did drop into the Annual Bath Society of Artists Exhibition (anyone can enter), very entertaining as usual - not least because of the other visitors, mostly middle-aged women like me but in groups .. I got the feeling they were having a good old gossip about the artists they know.. I escaped to a smaller room for a bit of quiet and realised I was standing next to David Dimbleby (who used to live in Bath) .. always a bit of a surprise when you find yourself standing next to a celebrity all unexpected like, don't you think? Bumped into him again later on and this time we smiled at each other, well he smiled first actually ... we are practically engaged now ... Marvellous abstracts, I think I'm liking these more than the landscapes at the moment. Bought jackets and prawns for Minnie's Thursday teatime visit, missed bus, had to sit in Starbucks and drink Frapaccino (frozen fruit drink). Fed Minnie, gossiped. Am worn out. Half in bed now ... night night x

sounds a lovely day, anne I was too tired to cycle, in fact had to sleep again this morning but woke up enough to go to Llandudno, lunch at Osborn House, walk around the Bodnant Gardens which are just exquisite at the moment, and then call in to see Aunty Barbara and Cliff at their van .. we're all agog for how ppl do up their sites, and such like things now! A lovely day, in all ... tho I was sad at low energy, B says I have to give myself convalesence time!

Hello folks. Yes it be Friday today. Gorgeous weather which lifts the spirits somewhat. I found out that Craig has gone to Conwy, North Whales. Seemingly near to LLandudno. At least the weather has been good for him. And a new experience. I've kept myself very busy by stripping the wallpaper off the wall by the fireplace in the lounge. How many times have I done that? Haha. Hopefully tomorrow I will put up some plain pink wallpaper which I bought today. And I did manage to sit in the sun. So now I think I'll watch a DVD. Maybe one with Al Pacino in. Bye for now.

Got frustrated with my re-setting stepper! I've been painting as well today, the arty kind. Not clearing the house ready for sale, as I should have been ... Bed with book now, night night x I see Jane down there ... *waves at Jane*

hello!!!
today we pottered ... H had the day off so we wandered into Southport and looked in the second hand book shops. Then I made a card using the decoupage kit I bought yesterday. Tonight I've been planning my trip to London tomorrow ... we're going to see the Elephant Parade!

hope you have a lovely day .. then back to work on Monday ... .. I used to hate this next 1/2 term with all the bits and bobs to do rather than the usual timetable .. hope you are better disposed to it!

Today we did a bit of shopping, some lovely fresh vegetables and berries .. then we finished off potting the containers at the shed .. photos to follow!
we had a leisurley lunch and now B is spring-cleaning this house where we've stayed .. the owners come back in the night, so we will be gone, leaving the scent of a deep-clean behind us
I find I get very tired very quickly . . . . which isn't surprising, and I am not keen on sitting in the sun for long .. I think chemo makes you over-sensitive to the sun anyways

home again, lots of lovely flowers in the garden ... pretty!
Went to the Japanese restaurant for tea, here in Stoke .. we had miso soup, tempura seaweed, endame beans and mackeral with a few noodles ... quite good anti-cancer food, tho in general the menu seems quite suited to Western palates, not many really pure veg dishes or tofu and a lot of stuff is deep fried!

Enjoy the elephant parade Jane; this year we have lions in Bath! I'm slowly photographing them, will put them up in a while.
Is that a restaurant like Wagamama suze? I've heard good things about this one, we have several in Bristol.
I started the day off with a trip to the farm shop down in Somerset, to get a fortnight's supply of nice meat, veg and other bits and pieces. Did some weeding and chopping in the garden, pulled down some rock hard baby plums off a tree on the path for a small boy keen to fill his catapault ... tsk ... what else? Wahed a duvet in the bath - nice sunny day, why not? Walked my steps past the local beer festival. What else? Scribbled with some coloured crayons. Read a murder story ... shall I start a book thread? ... completed my steps after drinking wine and taking medication ... time for bed .... zzzzzzzzz
