Hi folks. Hope all is well. It is Sunday today. A cooler, fresher day, so no sitting out in the sun. Oh yes, & it's raining. Craig comes home today from his camping holiday. I've text him & he recons he will be home by tea-time (6ish). .......... I'm not doing very much today. Actually I did enough yesterday really. I made a start putting up wallpaper in the lounge, over the fireplace. But it looked awful. So that has been stripped off & replaced by peach paint. And to be honest, I do like it. So that's something 'eh. Not sure if He will like it, so let's see. .................... Yes Anne, start a reading thread. I've got a library book at the mo. Patricia Cornwell 'The Front'. I quite like her writing style. ........... Anyway, hope it is a good day for all of us.

It's raining here too ... but cooler, which is good. Back to work tomorrow, this week off has flown by. Elephants in London were fab but it was very very humid - not the best sightseeing weather!
Today I think its the supermarket and maybe a little shopping - H has just said she needs new work shoes.

We are a bit fed up this morning - someone has burnt down our front shrubbery during the night, one which I planted from scratch 20 years ago with specialized plants from my father's nursery. It seems one lovely but large (8 foot) everygreen was set alight from the inside and the fire spread. Hard to be caused by a stray cigarette.
Off to buy some heavy duty rubbish sacks - unfortunately we didn't add the garden to our house insurance ..

this as dreadful anne, I am so sorry . .. ..
I think lots of kids like to play with fire and are quite unaware of the enormity of what they might do ...

Half cleared Apparently several gardens in the neighbourhood have had the same thing happen. Today I have the house to myself for most of it, and being very lazy. Minnie has the day off and she is walking to Bath along our local disused railway/cycle track with her dad .. hopefully it will take them ages, I have Sunday newspapers to read.

Hello folks. It is Monday today. I've been to the doctor's this a.m. to see if he will ring the Consultant & try & get my operation brought forward. He agreed to ring the Secretary. He had my details on the p.c. & confirmed that I am down as Grade 3, & Urgent. So fingers crossed. It seems like an everlasting wait. ..................... I've also done 3 wash-loads today. Phew! Well I had a fair bit of washing as Craig has been away for 3 days camping with friends. I am so pleased he had a good time. Don't think he has learned how to cook yet though. ................ He goes away again on Wednesday. I shall be on my own again. But I think I will just rest up. .............. Hope all is well.

Went this morning for my weigh in -3.5 lbs. Hurrah. After lunch it was Craft class at the hut and I made 2 beautiful birthday cards. Got dreadfully wet loading up the car and needed wellington boots to get into driver's seat. Had a good journey home, I drove bcause of Cliff's in jured leg. I have been trying to get my head around using your forum but I think it is now time for a drink and checking e-mails.

Hello barbara and welcome ..
There are quite a few new members including mumndad, hello to you all!
I've found a local art class during my 10,000 steps roamaround, which runs on Tuesday evenings, one where you can take work in progress and get advice ... sounds good, may try it.
I hope you don't have to wait too long, Pauline. Goodnight all.

Hello folks. It is Tuesday today. And raining. Hello to my cousins, Fred, Pauline & Barbara. And everyone else, hello. Don't know who your sister is on here Sue? ...................... Gosh Anne, that was a terrible thing to happen to you. It is soul-destroying to see your many years work gone in a flash.
I hope the people responsible are caught, but it may not happen.
I certainly hope you can move on from it, which is better for your health & well being. ........................................................... Today is my last day with my son again, for a while. He is going away with friends tomorrow to Donnington music festival. Camping again. ....................... I did have a few little ornaments from him as a present from the last camping holiday in Whales. Little Gothic sculls. I'll have to get a pic on here, with his help. ............................................ Feel a bit flat today. Not exactly depressed, but not very joyful either.
I think I need a new interest to keep my mind alert. I would go to the college to see what courses are on, but I haven't got the energy. ................. Have a good day all.

Good morning Pauline and everyone. We are supposed to be having a family picnic today, I'm cooking muffins with mozzarella and salami in the sandwich toaster, and washing strawberries ... got a feeling people will be crying off because it's raining. Picnics in the rain are fun!
