us lot are cultured, yes, ha! ;D
don't know why I'm still up - supposed to be working tomorrow and I've just had a nice glass of red wine, a brie and lettuce sandwich and some chocolate ice cream. Off to i-player to listen to Charles Chilton's Journey into Space from sometime in the 1950's - heard this several times and it's fabulous, if only for the sound effects down my headphones.

I'm sure all that made you very mellow, missis today I'm mainly going to the coast to see my Aunty Barbara and Blue but already I have been busy tidying up the anti-cancer section, re-reading bits, tidying bits, adding links to it works better .. you may not notice much difference, but I found it a useful thing to do to revise my notes .. and one thing I notced is that I tend to over-cook my crucifer family .. I like cabbage and caulit pretty soft ... but then with my gut it's a bit of a mare eating them too raw .. that saying, I did make and enjoy my tri-colour coleslaw for lunch yesterday!

Hi all. Lovely weather here again. Doing an alteration job on a pair of curtains today. Downsizing them for my bedroom as I have been given some curtains for the lounge. Nice pink flowers on them. .......... Hope Anne that your cat gets sorted at the vets today. .......... Hope everyone feels well.

I've been working today, lovely children, it went well I'm afraid Murphy the cat isn't so well, has had an enlarged kidney for some time which hasn't bothered her up to now ... she went to the vet with K, was sedated and injected twice and had blood taken, but sadly she hasn't eaten since Sunday and 10 hours since her injection she still isn't eating. For some reason she is sticking her entire paw into her water bowl and attempting to drink but not even able to manage that much ... she is due back at the vets on Friday. To be honest I hope she passes away peacefully before then .. On a more optimistic note, we are off house/flat hunting tomorrow ... controlling ourselves and not phoning the estate agents because they promise to chase up our prospective purchasers on Friday if they haven't heard before

Gosh Anne, it must be distressing for you to see your cat that way ..
and also on pins about the whole house moving thing ... notorious for increasing people's stress levels ... you'd better keep a nice glass of red wine to hand most evenings! (it is advised on the famous diet anyway!!)
Had a nice afternoon with my aunty Barbara and Blue at their seaside home ... we had hoped to pedal along the prom a bit, but it was bitterly cold despite the blue sky and sun, so we walked in land and settled for a little stride along the prom on our way back ..
mad busy today .. got to go off for my class soon and then get the shed totally titivated for a little party tonight, B has invited a few work mates around and I'm to provide cocktails!

Glad you had a lovely afternoon with Barbara and Blue, enjoy your party tonight
Hope everyone is ok?
Very hopeful news from me - we found a very nice, almost new, flat on the outskirts of Wells today, about 25 minutes walk from the Cathedral, access to the countryside, incredibly low price .. hopefully there will be good news from our own prospective buyers after they see their mortgage adviser tomorrow. There would only be three of us in the chain, so potentially we could be in by Christmas!

Oh Anne, I'm so sorry about Murphy. You must be gutted. I hope your cat gets some peace, one way or the other. ... The property news sounds promising. Hope things work out. ... I hope you have a nice party tonight Sue. And I'm glad you had fun so far. ..... Been shopping & had lunch with family at 'Red Cow' today. Craig drove the car & likes to get his driving experience in.
Tonight is just spent stopping in. ....... Oh yea, weather cool & dry. I guess winter is around the corner. Hope all is well.

Flat sounds great Anne, hopefully things are moving (literally!) for you on that front at last. Cocktail party on a school night suze! sounds good to me We're off for a sneaky getaway this weekend, off to the cruise show at the NEC ... I'm not quite sure if its a good idea or not but we've booked a cruise for next summer - so now I'm going to find out about them (I'm sure it should be the other way round!!!)

Hi did Brigids friends come round last night. We went to Weymouth at lunch time today, we havnt been out much during the week we have had this awful cough, and if you cough when you are out people look at you as if you have the plague. We were watching alot of the Chili rescue we were so pleased when all the men were brought up to safety. I can not bare being in a lift a few seconds I dont know how they managed to stay sane so long under ground,I think it was all down to the foreman who took control of everything keeping them busy. its gone cooler today funnily enough right on the front at W. it was warm but around the shops it was cool.

mum, I did see some of that Chile rescue stuff .. I dread the idea of being cooped up like that, and agree it's amazing how they have kept their spirits up

It is good about the miners being rescued. At the moment they will be stars. Later on they may get flash-backs & phobias. But at least they are OK now. And lots of support. .............. Hope everyone had a good day today. ............ I haven't been over the front doorstep today. A quiet day at home. ............... Off to bed now. Bye.
