Morning all. Hope all is well. .......... Last night we had a lovely meal at 'Red Onion' Indian restaurant in Werrington. We have been before, & I can recommend it. After which, we came back here & Craig completed the jig-saw I bought him. He also wore the ring & charm bracelet I bought him. there were other bits & bobs, like chockies. His dad gave him money for his birthday. ...... So now I have a 21 year old son. And soon I'll be 62. Ah well! ......... No major plans for today. ........... Hope everyone is well today.

Aye -- good news indeed ... no change on the little thing on my lung, so whatever it is it ain't active at the moment, and nothing new growing anywhere, so .. yip, I reckon my anti-cancer programme is working, and I get more time off!

Were going to do a bit more decorating today, when we had been to the shops , but we feel to cold to get changed into working gear, well thats my story and Im sticking with it. Was so pleased with your news had a Bailys to celebrate. buttered and cut up a hot cross bun for the birds this morning , must say the spice in it isnt tempting them, some of its gone but quite a bit still there. Mind you they were so heavy baked just as well they havnt eaten it they wouldnt be able to fly, some of Tescos bread making is a hit and miss affair.

it was so lovely to get your message, suze, it made my evening .. which we spent incidentally listening to Gregorian chants for Candlemass, a promenade concert in the Cathedral. I loved the last one, but this one was very dry, albeit clever. 200 of us scuffled around after the five singers, and to be fair their voices filled the entire Cathedral for about 80 minutes. Again, very few lights, so very atmospheric, I wandered around on my own peering into dark corners for half an hour - caught sight of one of the vicars cuddling the Cathedral cat, one way of keeping warm that cold evening.
We went to one of the nice pubs afterwards and had a pint of local beer with fish, chips and salad. Then I tried to text suze but my fingers went all wrong, think it went on the fourt attempt ;D
Today was market shopping day, tapestry sewing in front of Ice Station Zebra (the effects must have looked fantastic on a big screen, especially the bits with the submarine under the ice like a huge whale), and painting a frog. What is it with me wanting to paint frogs, toads and fish - they aren't exactly greeting card subjects!

Well done suze - I bet you felt really good after that bike ride. We used to visit the manifold Valley when we took holidays in Eyam. Lovely countryside around there.
I've been laid up this week with a horrible chest, but I feel ok in myself and reading a lot.
Hope everyone else is ok xx

Hiya
Hope you are feeling better, Anne.
I've been continuing to keep busy with exercise classes and final touches to the decorating in the box room.. The Sharps wardrobe arrived today and they fit it on Monday.
We are off to London soon to meet up with sister and family for a weekend to celebrate the boys' birthday.
excited x
