:)Hi went with our new neighbor to the open day at the NHS clinic at the top of the Street, we did not stay for any of the buffet to many people there. After lunch posted the census form and took a flying visit to Weymouth. It was much cooler down there than here in Dorchester. Doing well with your cycling Sue its not as hilly in Cheshire as Stoke so a bit easier for you. We slept in a bit this morning havnt got used to the time change yet must get up earlier tomorrow Dads going the dentist at 9-30. I won twice on the lotto last week, dont get excited it wasnt much,£2-50 on Tuesday and £10. on Sat. Bye now Mumxxxx

Hi folks. The weather forecast is good for later on today. Cool dry start. ..... Got the washing machine merrily washing away. Good drying day. ........... Going out for lunch later w' family. Last meal out for Les (Craig's dad) as he goes in hospital early tomorrow for an operation. Then Craig will sleep at his dad's as the hospital won't discharge Les otherwise. ......... I may be late coming on here tomorrow as it is a busy day & I don't know how things will pan-out yet. ........... Glad you had a little win mum&dad. It always gives a boost. Now you can have a treat. ......... I saw the post Sue about 'Shapes' & I am considering going back to swimming. I think it is gentle exercise & beneficial. Been meaning to go for ages & not done so. ......... My review w' doctor went off well. As I seem quite stable he has issued me with the same meds with another review later. .................. Hope everyone has a good day today. Bye.

NEXT BIT that was a startling achievement posted it without knowing how,not to unusual for old men,I was looking for my insulin pen this morning,
and saying to your mum ,have you seen it , yes she says it will bite you in a minute, it is on the shelve right in front of you , I had put it there last night as it needed a new cartridge ,so I striped it down ready to put one in this morning and didn't put it in its case, !!!!!!!!!!! Any way I felt at my head and it was still there so things aren't to bad,I have a new gold blob in my moth now,the family inheritance has taken a dive, The local weather is not to good either, wet and windy, no going out to sunbathe today.
How is your plan for the kitchen coming along Sue,are you getting there, I know you will get it how you want before you start ,it's in the blood, Julie know's all about that I am still planing her egg stand, must be a master piece , Ive been on the thing for longer than she has had the boys.
Have you made progress with the sat; dish ? or still waiting for a different place to site it ,
Anne I tried that hyper link to your camera site and it blocked it for some reason ,I couldn't make the jump , so I may be lost in hyper space now! you have picked a nice place to move to ,you are very enthusiastic about it ,and that is as good as you can get, Julie picked our present house and it was just what we liked, every thing just so , dont think we will move again ,very convenient for all the things you want as you get older, I remember Toby saying to me once when we where outside, why are all the people old who live in these bungalows granddad, and have gray hair ,dont miss much do they.
Pauline we are pleased that you are feeling better now and hope Less goes on OK AT THE HOSPITAL.
Mark we hope Tracy gets some information about that lump/swelling on her head ,good to hear that it is going smaller, it has been a problem for a while now Love to you all . Dad xxx

Haha -- good post dad .. dont know where to start with the answers! I certanly know all about the egg-stand, Julie hasn't forgotten about it even if you do! Kitchen ? ? ? well. you know, I am always in a bit of a rush these days, always trying to fit stuff in before Dr Adab gets his hands on me again! So it is going to happen at the end of April. That's all sorted, I think .. well one more applianc eto source The new plans are to do with putting a loo in the bit where the washing machine is, and moving the washer out into the garage ... so I was with the builder yesterday there seems to be a drain there, and the loo side of it seems quite feasible .. the snag might be the washing machine drain .. he will probably have to dig a channel out ... but he thinks it can be done .. so we are going to take a risk and let him try it out next week while we are actually away ... to speed things up a bit .. we're bobbing back to stoke this afternoon to finish off the clearing out, which is what we were mainly doing over the weekend .. ! The satellie ? ? ? .. I had an hilarious conversation with the most drama-queen man in the kingdom yesterday ... he went on and on all about telling me that I have NO IDEA how easily these things can blow off, and how they will take the SIDE of my shack away and HUGE COSTS will be involved .. etc etc etc .. he has seen this sort of HAVOC wreaked ... and I havent ... for some reason I let him talk me out of taking the whole lot back (their success rate is 98% and he obviously doesn't want to lose his statistics ... or the job .. ) so he will be sending out one of his BEST operatives on Saturday to try and resolve the issue .... but I wont be here, so someone else will still have to come and finish off the connection ... weird, I tell you .. they drive for miles to do these jobs, how on earth it can be cost effective .. ? except Budgie (top operative) is on a big job near here on Sat so that is easy .. well we'll see .. More drama of a more genuine kind: I popped in to see my surgeon yesterday, to ask her opinion on my exercise regime, mainly, vis a vis my scar / hernia situation .... she gave me advice, but also told me about her own near-death experience this year . . she has had this rare post-viral condition called Guillan-Barre syndrome, where she got progressively paralysed and was in hospital for 10 days ... it is life-threatening, and it turns out my mate John's mother actually died of this ... although in general it is a very rare condition .. she is doing really well and seems to have made a very good recovery and is back at work after only a little while off, so I was extra pleased to see here ... phew ... she said it was really really scarey imagine .. gradually geting more and more paralysed .. yikes x

That is a shock thing for your surgeon to have, these things must be more traumatic for Dr's sometimes, as they know more about the recovery rate than we do scary Good for her that she is making a good recovery. My insulin drama didn't get settled very smoothly, I use a lot, and like to keep a bit in stock , and took my prescription into Tesco pharmacy. and they hadn't got enough. So I didn't have any but left my order and they said they would phone and leave a message when they had it, so the call came today and Your mum went into the shop to get it, I took her in the car ,it was raining, when we got home and come to put the stuff away, we found we hhad been given the wrong stuff, they normaly show you the insulin to make sure it is the one has there are lot's of different type's. but not this time and I didn't look as it was in the boot with the other shopping, when I saw it we where surprised , they had given me four pen's with the mix in them ,so I had to go back myself and talk them into making a change, I have 6 packs of 5 vials of insulin in each packet they had given me 4 complete pen injectors and I dont no if there was any insulin in at all as I didn't open them to see ,they phoned the Dr and fortunately they had the right stuff and the amount. so I got it OK . . That is a good idea to have a loo there, you might say a very convenient place to put it.
Just have to waite and hope to see if the dish and bits get put in a place where they will work .
my tea is ready ive been told to get my injection so ta ta for now .

It must have been very distressing for your surgeon. Loz is here to check out car insurance charges, they are scandalous, varying from 411 up to 3,000 and more strangely when he had a quote for 'third party' they worked out even more expensive. This year we stayed with the same insurers because all other quotes were so expensive. Loz is now cooking dinner for us all because I still feel 'fragile' with my cold but we have been getting the caravan equipment sorted ready for the off tomorrow. Our friend Peter, who we were with at Blackpool at the weekend, took a fall down the stairs and broke his leg in 2 parts so no golf for him for a few months. Blackpool is undergoing a massive refurbishment of the tramway installing new track for metro style trams, we literally could not get across onto the beach because everything was barricaded but we were able to use our bus pass and go along to Fleetwood and then back via Cleveleys. Smells as if dinner is ready. Bye for now.

Hello folks. .......... Gosh Sue it must have been very stressful for the surgeon. Scary 'eh! I reckon with rare & common stuff out there in the world, we'll all get summat or other one day. ......... Sounds like it's been stressful for mum&dad too with the insulin doodlie. ............ Hello Barbara, sorry to find you've been poorly. Hope you better now. ......... I'm OK I reckon. Family OK. ..... Les had his operation & is out now. It went off well. He isn't allowed to drive for 24 hrs after op, or be left alone tonight. So Craig is staying over & doing the driving. ........... I've popped on here after the family meal. They will be going back to dads tonight. Craig has to have a sleepover. ......... I cooked salmon, sauce & veg for tea. It went off alright. ..... Well I ain't got any more news, but the saying goes that 'no news is good news'. I have no idea where that saying come from, or where I heard it. Anyway bye for now.

Pauline, that was one of your uncle Harry's saying's a real good one I like to keep is ,if you cant say something good about a person then say nothing. Good news about Les hope all goes well for you all.
Barb's car insurance is a mine field , my broker told me years ago you dont owe loyalty to insurance companies , always look for a change, you ALWAYS get a discount on what they call NEW BUSINESS. so it is rare for me to stay with the same company. LOL Fredxxx

I can't access it at the moment either .. very odd, sometimes it's blocked and sometimes it works. Anyway, I'm pleased but there is a lot to learn, and I've already put a grubby finger mark on the lens and a little worried about cleaning it off and scratching the glass .. Yes, one reason we chose this particular flat is it's suitability for the two of us as we grow older ... yet it isn't in a complex full of other retired people, in fact we are the oldest by about 25 years! ;D The nine other owners and tenants are all young, smart and well behaved. It's nice, makes me and K feel young at heart. One domestic detail about moving into a much smaller property, controlling the various smells ... is that a detail too far? I fling the windows open daily and keep everything washed - but now the washing machine itself seems a bit smelly. never noticed such a thing before .. I'm sure there's a remedy ....? As for bathroom cleaner - it 'perfumes' the entire flat.... The downstairs cloakroom is a good plan, suze. Hope it works out easily. I did enjoy the image of the satellite dish carrying away half your shed Wizard of Oz style .. .. nasty experience your surgeon has had though, she must have wondered if she would ever work again - it must have been upsetting for you to hear this. Tomorrow I am doing a Reception sitting stint at the Museum. It's hard work, it really is ...

hiya yes I cannot tell you how pleased I am the my surgeon is ok, though of course I hope I never need her services again! She is such a lovely person and goes the extra mile for her patients .. I think she is amazing, and gave her a big hug as I left this week .. smells .. you've not spent any time in a small room with ME since the aforementioned surgeon removed another lump of my bowel . . . she tells me the smells are worse cos of changes in the bacteria ... no doubt assitd by my anti-cancer diet .. but it is GRIM! I am all excited about going off to Gay Paree this week .. yipee!
