Susan, I don't think our mileage is exceptional. Maybe 6000 miles per year.
Karen, hope your luck is about to improve.

Gosh Karen, what a time you are having, funny how we always get trauma one after the other. Lets hope its the end of your bad luck. Dads been out today in his scooter,we went to town after lunch and Dad got a new pair of shoes from Clarkes. We went to Tesco before lunch, when Dad had got back from his trip to find out how long it would take to get to his diabetic clinic. Was a bit cooler this morning warmed up later. Toby and Joe came on their way home from school, J. cut the lawn and T. helped to put some of the tools out of the shed into the garage. Sent your info to DVL yesterday Mark. Bye for now L.M. xxxxxx

Hi - have had serious problems with laptop resulting in it being wiped clean, fortunately had an up to date back up of all docs. Home phone has also packed in so have gone back to having a hard wired one but I was able to input my phone numbers from the mobile SIM which was useful facility. Home now for a few days before going off to Reigate on Saturday. Can't wait to welcome the twins. Glad to hear Fred you are using the new transport. Your Dad really appreciated your generosity in getting him one when he stopped driving - it was an absolute lifeline - hope you are finding the same. Loz has arrived for his Wednesday dinner and I did a Fish Pie for fussy eaters (not Loz) Cliff! ha ha. Bye for now.

Morning .. batten down the hatches .. ... the hurricane is here, it seems.
Slightly nervous about the idea of getting in an airplane later .... off to Ireland for the weekend, and thinking I need to buy more anti-nausea tablets ...
EEEK!
Had a busy day yesterday with French class, then lunch with mate from French, then to Stoke to check house all OK and do some laundry and think about packing for family visits over the next week .. and realise I left Dad's birthday pressie at the house so will have to dive in there anyway next week, to pick that up ..

well the plumber came and went and for a brief shining moment we had a downstairs loo, then the cistern started to leak from the base, so he's coming back today
but I was very impressed with his work and he didn't cost a fortune

Hello everyone. Hope all is well. .... Seems like a lot has happened since I posted on here from what I've read. Hope all traumas are now over. Hope everyone feels well. ... I think summer is over now & the cold wet weather is with us. It's safe to say, the summer clothes are put away for a long time now. ... I'm quite well myself & will just be busy doing the usual housework today. .... Have a good day all.

Hiya
we are in Ireland with B's family.
B was delighted with herself cos she had booked a VIP lounge and we had a comfy place to relax with complimentary food and drink for hours before we set off. Very relaxing evening before we set off..
We are having a relaxing time here too.

Susan, you do travel in style. So happy to think of you and B having a lovely time.
The old Honda was taken away this morning, pity the replacement log book arrived in the post half an hour later! Unbelievable. Anyway, I've written to DVLA to tell them the car's no concern of mine anymore. No sign of the replacement log for the other Honda, yet the applications for both cars went to DVLA in the same envelope. Maybe it will come soon.
I hurt my back at work on Friday. Sore!

Morning all. Looks like being a brighter day today. We'll see.
We had no hurricanes, but it was quite gusty. This gave some strange sound effects down our chimney, think it might be because we sealed up the fireplace last year. So now it is like somebody blowing across the top of a bottle. Only it sounds a lot deeper than that. A bit weird, luckily we only hear it occassionally.
What's everyone up to today?
