Hiya ... yes mum, grim news. I suppose they didn't rush to tell you because there is no treatment programme to rush him onto since it is something they have no direct remedy for ... which is the sad thing. You will just have to take a leaf out of my book ... and keep on with the best diet you can to to maintain your bodies as healthily as you can. Even though you will feel worried about the future it is really important that you stay chipper and keep on taking pleasures in the things that you enjoy on a daily basis. It is great that dad has got the scooter and can go about locally with you so much more easily now. Love you both .. it was thinking about you two that woke me up at 5 o clock this morning

We went to the market this morning, got a pair of gloves for Dad. I then caught the bus to Tesco and met Dad in the entrance . Sat on the seat watching the cars ect go by, when Maria and Jack, who used to live next to Julie came down. We were talking to them for ages, must say these trips to T. take up quite alot of time, thirsty work. We had the rest of the spag. with garlic bread for lunch it was really nice. When do we alter the clocks is it this weekend. Julie poped down to see Dad yesterday that cheered him up. Dad must be asleep the posts just come and hes not gone to get it. Bye for now L.M. xxxxxxx

Just read a few posts to catch up a bit. Sorry about the bad news Fred. It's natural for the shock to depress you but take heart. It's so true what Sue says & I hope you cheer up somewhat. I cannot add anything I'm afraid. Cheer up though. ...... I kept my appoint., Tue., at Ward 71. This time I had the monitor muscle test as well as advice/chat. Seems my muscles are working but I still have to do those exercises which are a bit like pelvic floor ones with extra things to do. I have to keep reminding myself as it doesn't come naturally to me. Next app., there is in December. Meanwhile I have to see the surgeon next Wed., about my hernia. Great joy! Still I guess that's what old age is all about really. ........ Anyway, the weather is quite cold as it has been rainy & windy here. However, it didn't keep us in at all. Craig drove us to 'Dog & Partridge' for lunch. Very nice too. .... I'm just playing on here while the footie is on downstairs. Anyway, hope all is well with everyone. We here are fine.

Hi Pauline, its been a nice day here today, in fact when we were at the market it was very warm. Its gone cold tonight, I turned up the heating because Fred was feeling cold. F. thinks he may have got a chill having got caught in a quick little down pour yesterday. Had fish, jackets and salad for tea. Where is the Dog and Partridge is it Leek way. Freds watching a film he recorded at the weekend, must say its a bit noisy. Bye for now L.M. xxxxxx

Took another trip to Tesco, having hung out the washing on the line. It was sunny and warm by then,it had been cooler first thing. Just ironed the washing as it was dry. Dads just gone into his shed, will bob out to see if hes O.K. in a bit. You left your scrub sponge here, I have dried it and hung it up in the bathroom till you come again. Dad seems more himself today, thank goodness. Bye for now L.M. xxxxxx

Mum, you made me smile with the definition of Susan's 'long awaited holiday'. Never realised you were quite so funny. Some of us await more than a month between breaks. But I do hope S and B have fun in Lanzarote.

The photos of the hotel? Yes, it's lovely
I have actually put that link in the photo section in here now
Bit of a bugger today, B cannot find her home/car keys ..
she goes for days without using them, cos I do a lot of the driving now. She has had to drive off to work in hopes they are in her panniers there .. it will be a major expense if she cannot find them, and some of the bike lock keys are actually one offs and irreplaceable! hope it's a false alarm ...

Susan, any luck with those keys? I've scared myself a couple of times with lost keys which weren't really lost at all. Hope you have just had a similar false alarm. x

Hiya - yes, as hoped the keys were in the panniers at work, which just meant piffling the morning away driving over there and back .. and having to locate a site manager, etc .. but a big sigh of relief! We are almost packed ...
