Morning all. Well Sue the credit card doodley sounds like a set-back. But you did bounce back, so to speak. And the shed seems to be coming on quite a bit now. ......... And yes, congrats on H passing driving test. ...... Big day for you Anne today. Hope you get your house sold soon. .......... Well I guess it may very well rain today & had done already. So later I will stroll round the park & see what else the day brings.

seems I just missed you! sorry - I just whizzed in to collect messages and logged straight off, to get on with house cleaning and disappearing down to our favourite farm shop in Somerset while the estate agent showed the prospective buyers around. We came home to a message from them that they haven't been yet, the people can't make it until 1.00 ... so I'm back home waiting to do the sales pitch! Sorry the shed is cold - and August is usually so hot isn't it? Hope you are able to spend some money by now ..

Yesterday was brillinat, James and Huw swept in and helped us to do lots of finishing things, most importantly hanging the bead head, which meant we could unwrap the bed and all the other furniture could then be moved into place.
Looks really amazing, will post somephotos later, and just now the sun is shining, and it feels great to be here, actually cooking a meal cos the hob (and oven) are both up and running .. and the hot water too .. just awaiting a little part and some fine tuning to the heating and then the plumbing will be all finished .. probably this week
YAY!

Morning folks. Tipped for good weather today, so son-&-heir has asked his dad if we can all go for a run out today. I said I was OK if he wanted to go without me, but he seems to want me to go along. Well as it will be a run out I said OK then. I just didn't want to hold them up really if they fancy doing a fair bit of walking. Anyway, I said I could be left on a seat somewhere by shops & they can call back for me later. Buxton seems to be on the cards. It's nice there. So let's see what happens. .......... Hope you all have a good day today.

sounds a good plan poppy, the weather seems really nice ...
we're at home today cos loads of things to do, car for MOT, man to mend alarm, man to trim the hedge, cleaners to, erm, clean!
later I've got planning to do about how to spend our time next week when sister and family are up at the shed with us, I've got all the tourist info and we think some of the things will need to be booked in advance, like the Go Ape that the kids are really keen to do ...
it feels like a long summer, cant believe we've only been back a week from france, we've done so much since then!
btw - if you didn't notice, I've updated shed photos to show the furnishigns coming together now~

I hope you enjoy your day out, Poppy. I think I've passed through Buxton, lovely town.
Suze - I caught a little piece about Monkey World at Trentham on one of the Sunday countryside programmes, very interesting. It seems incredible that the monkeys don't roam away, but I suppose they are too well fed to bother.
I bet you are all looking forward to next week!

the monkeys are actually in a massive enclosure, so tehy can't exactly roam, tho I guess they could spring it over some of the tree tops to the adjacent woodland!
it's a great thing, monkey world!

Yesterday I had a day out with the family. We went to Matlock & Carsington. I didn't go on the cable car thing as I am a bit phobic about heights. I walked around the shops & sat around. The weather was lovely & we had meals out too. ............... Today is a normal routine day for me. Shopping & pottering round the house. ....... Hope all is well with y'all.

I've been up to Abraham Heights on that cable car pauline, I must admit I didn't enjoy it at all and don't blame you. We stayed in Matlock Youth Hostel, a very good one it was too.
Monkey World does indeed look like a very enjoyable day out. You are a monkey loving family then? ;-) When I was younger I can remember wanting a marmoset for a pet, a little miniature person I could boss around!
Rain was forecast today, but it's been nice here ..
My husband and I are a bit anxious - Minnieme has been having pins and needles and getting stiffer down her hemiplegic side .. this afternoon her GP told her to come off the pill immediately and is sending her to hospital for an MRI scan, and she's been signed off for a fortnight. I think she's as surprised as we are - she was only hoping for a physiotherapy appointment. :/

gawd, hope minniegups is ok, being signed off for a fortnight would suggest that the GP is alarmed at it too ..
eek
as for monkey loving family, I guess so, I go now and again to see the ones near here, but mumndad have the one in wymouth as their 2nd home, cos they have season tickets, or sponsorship, not sure whihc .. so they go lots and lots on their annual ticket!
