All sounds good, suze xx
I've been in Bristol most of the day - saw an exhibition of David Hockney prints based on Grimms Fairytales. Also bought some fabric to make simple 'wiggly bags' (protect Hickman lines worn by children receiving chemotherapy), which is my weekend project. If anyone wants to know more, make one even - let me know and I'll pm you instructions!
treated myself to a pot of tea and double chock cookie in the Museum cafe, surrounded by mums and small children, and day-dreamed of being a grandma (no, no sign yet!).

sadly too much indian food, and a few other things and today's weigh in brought bad news!
hey ho
today we are at home, got to colecet a few deliveries of things, not least my new phone, but also my storage jars, it's like opening a bank account to get a parcel these days, I will need photo id and proof of address on a utility bill as well as the card they sent me ...
also going to buy a phone cos it seems that BT have acted quikcly on increasing the capacity at the caravan park and we will have a land line number!
yay

blimey, it is typical bank holiday weather out there today, absolutely lashing it down ..
had a bad night in the bathroom last night, lost a lot of sleep so feeling tired today ... but happy to stay in and play with my new toy, this amazing iPhone .. it is wonderful!
we are invited to a party over near the shed today, but I am not going, B will go on her own, I've got to get my stuff packed up for next weekend too ... cos we'll be mostly at the shed and B will be full-on at work ..

Today I went to Apedale Mining museum with the family. I put this on t'other thread. ........... Anyway, it is the countdown for me now for my operation. I have a definite date 17th September. Hopefully it won't be delayed any further. I feel apprehensive about it, but relieved it will soon be over. Ward 105. City General. I have all I need to taker in, which isn't much. I may buy a pair of new slippers though. ........ So it's goodnight from me.

hello!
That sounds fun, Pauline. Good news about the operation, not long to wait now.
I am slavering at your i-phone suze, what are your favourite bits so far? My SIL2B is selling part of my stamp collection on ebay so we can split the proceeds and buy me one of my own; can't wait!
Term starts this week, and I've got a training day tomorrow. On the plus side, the Year 6 children (it's always Year Sixers) who visit us in September are quite angelic.

Good news you have a date, poppy.
re iphone, it's just everything, really, the way it works all on the screen, how you can zoom in and out with your fingers, it's really like magic, and how it bounces a bit at the end of a scroll, or how pages turn like, erm, pages!
the facebook app is great .. tho I'venot used much else internet wise,
the whole thins has amazing resolution so you can read really tiny script,
the whole thing is so pretty, and pleasing, I really am in love with my hand-held computer .. it's like science fiction, it is! not even used is as a phone yet! but I've taken photos and video .. and I think you can go straight from phone to internet with your images, tho not done it yet
LOL
hope you dont miss your stamps ... they must be precious if they'll raise you the dosh for an iphone!

Sunny day here, sowing up all the dust! LOL will my life at the shed involve dusting every day? it really shows up on all these glass and chrome surfaces .. hopefully it's party cos all the fabrics and carpets are new, shedding their flock into the ait ..
we feel great hear now, a funky music system and last touch things like coat hooks and mirrors all done .. we even put a screw mounted full length mirror on one of the doors yesterday, which felt like a big achievement! the otehr two are glued on as my dad suggested with carpet tape!

sadly the carpet tape didnt work! I think there is too much movement in these walls, anyway one them broke on the way down .. which might be considered 7 years bad luck
I reckon if I get 7 years that counts as good luck to me!
on that strange note, I'll lock this thread and move daily news into the September thread that poppy started
xxxxx
