gawd, still more work to do ... broke new ground today, doing stuff we've never done b4, fixing the ariel connexction for our new telly .. turns out there is a big ariel we can take a branch off .. might get a dish later, but means we can watch a few progs and listen to radio now ..
I also did lots of silicone, which is also a new skill!

First day of our new term, where B sets off from here for work ..
but drama, she had hardly gone any distance and her chain snapped .. so she has come back and gone off on my bike, which is too big for her, really .. and I will have to go to Stoke to take her bike in,
she just had is serviced at Halfords round here -- trying to see if we can get a local spot without going to Stoke ... but they messed about all week though they'd said it was going to be in and out in a day, so we're not trusting them again ..
she thought she might need a new chain and block, and basically they told her it would be ok with a good clean, and obviously, it wasn't .. tho they DID clean it, perhaps the dirt was what was holding it together!
My sister and family will be here later, so I'd better get cracking on sorting this bike out ... I was thinking to go back to stoke, but there is a bike shop in the middle of Frodsham, so maybe I'll go there first ..
I suppose I could pick up another bike for B if I go to Stoke, cos I was hoping to go out on my bike with the family ...

Hello folks. Hope all is well. .......... Yesterday I went for a day out with the family to visit 'Dinorwig Electric Power Station' in Whales . Lunch at Little Chef & evening meal at Waggon & Horses, in Congleton. Craig drove home, so he had driving practice. It was quite a good day, despite rain off & on. ..................... Today brings a visit to the vets for fatty-Felix, the black cat. He has to go to the diet clinic for assessment. Put too much weight on! .......................... My good news is that I now have a date for my operation. The letter came yesterday. So it is Friday 17th September at 7.30 am. Ward 105. City General. I am so relieved to know just when it is so I can plan my life a bit. .......... Well that's all folks. Hope all is well. ..........

hiya all .. glad for your news about op date, poppy ..
mum n dad, good luck with the new computer ... fun and tears no doubt!
we had a great day today, started with a little walk together down the trail in frodsham direction, then back here to meet Barbara and Cliff ... they were interested to see the she din real life after all the photos!
They also had photos to show us of their holiday, which was interesting .. then the 7 of us moved up to see where Julie and family are staying .. then realised time was getting on, so we all went out for lunch together . ... yum! lots of fish and salads ordered as we all seem to be being careful about our calories!
then Barb and Cliff set off to Wales and the rest of us went to Delamere for a bike ride, obviously they had to hire bikes, which is a dear do, but we really enjoyed it, even JOHN!!!

apparently forumcircle is under attack by people trying to break in, so any forums hosted there are going to be slow for a while while it's sorted out
doesn't affect proboard forums like this one though
