Blimey it is windy here today. Mr K and I will modify our cycling plans in view of this, indeed we will modify them so much that we will leave them at home! LOL we've decided to go off to Crosby and look at statues again ... I know it is only a couple of weeks since I last went, but it will be different today, it is different every time! Will pack cosy clothes and maybe a change of clothes in case we get soaked! Later we are going back over to Stoke cos friends from work are taking me out tomorrow night, and I fixed to get my hair cut over there too ... good plans.

Hi what a terrible day, we woke up to thunder storms, Its blowing like billy ho at the moment. Im going to do some ironing, its to wet to venture out. Put the bin out this morning and the lid blew along the street, then when they emptied the bin that blew across the road. That was my keep fit exercise for the day chasing the bin. Have a nice time with Andy today L.M. xxxxx

Hi Dad took me over to Tesco I only wanted a couple of things, I would have walked over but the wind was so strong, and so wet when I was ready to go. Julie came round on her way home from work that was nice.Julie said the holiday had been good. The boys had done their first two days at big school, seem O.K. with it. Sorry you got so wet today Sue, bet it was over blowy on the coast. Hope your visit to the dentist went alright Karen, did you have a check up or was it treatment. Gosh you were brave riding a motor bike in that strong wind. Bye for now L.M. xxxx

Wind blown bins here too. I bet conditions were severe on Crosby Beach. Luke has been using our pics of Another Place for his art project. Plenty of pretty rust on Gormley's figures.
Susan, hope you have a very pleasant birthday. xx

Just dropping in myself to wish you a Happy Birthday for tomorrow suze, and hope you have a lovely evening out with your old workmates. I posted a card this afternoon so hopefully you may get it tomorrow.
Crosby Beach must be added to my "to visit" list. Love Anthony Gormley's work.
It was very windy here last night; we have trees planted into large pots outside the flats and one of them had blown over in the night. Looking forward to Autumn though. The blackthorn bushes down here are absolutely crammed with sloes, they look like bunches of grapes, they really do.
I'm still helping out quite a lot at the Museum, in and out at least several days a week. Art groups have started up again too. We feel quite settled in now; the rosy tint is fading, ha!, but that doesn't matter because so much more is good.
I've been looking in every day, nosy-parker style - your supportive family conversations are warm and lovely, gives me a fuzzy glow. x

hiya Anne, good to see you and to hear that you are having a busy time in your new location!
Crosby is just brilliant, fix yourself a jaunt up here and I'll take you! It's a place you cannot go to be in too many times ... just wonderful .
We literally got drenched. The woman in the refreshement van at the far end of the prom said we were "mental" .. and the lad came our of the RNLI place to tell us the same thing ...
we just shrieked hysterically and threw ourselves back into the arms of the storm!

We have never been to the man made beach at Fillongley, but do remember the usual guff from nimby types who tried to get it closed.

That's a date for next year then! I'm with you all the way regarding seasides in the wind and rain - they are fabulous. We have some wonderful family photos of me and Minnie on a soaking we Lyme Regis beach when she was about three. Beaches during Autumn and Winter definitely have their own charm.
(actually I seem to remember the beach around the bay at Lyme Regis is man-made, and renewed every year before the Summer Season starts - although there is a stony beach on that spot to start with ..)
I'm heavily involved with the poor old Museum until Sunday evening - open days at various places in Wells for a national series of Heritage events. So I will be donning a pinny and helping out in a makeshift cafe.

OK Anne, just let me know when you fancy it .. I would recommned staying in chester, then you have the joy of exploring that for a day or two and we can do the short drive to the beach together from there ... well we would probably do as I did with Mark et al, and drop into Liverpool Docks first .. not literally IN, you understand!
GOOD NEWS the scaffold men have arrived. They knock on the door then go back to the van to munch on oatcakes ... I hope the got them from Helen. I would enjoy an oatcake mysef, but I am virtuously munching on pear and blueberry with soya yogurt and linseeds! hey ho -- I DO like it, luckily!

Belated happy birthday greetings Sue for y/day. Hope it was a good one. I rely too much on Facebook reminders for B/days & yours didn't show up. How strange! My reminders come via email, but yours didn't. Sorry no card this year. ..... Yesterday I gave blood at the donor session. Craig did also. there was a delay with my donation as I failed the finger prick test for iron. At first I was told I couldn't donate. then she decided to do a further blood test to get a reading. It turned out I was very high with iron in my blood as opposed to being low. It was explained that the finger prick test only says if blood is around average but doesn't give a number reading. ........... Today I rang the Dr. surgery about a previous blood test a few days ago for cholesterol testing. It turns out that the reading was high. Wow! No chance of lowering my meds then. I'm booked in to see Dr. next Wednesday. .......... Anyway, today I'm ok. Just got 2 bruised arms from needles inserted for blood. Glad I don't have daily injections or I'd be black all over. But I feel well which is the main thing. ....... Hope everyone is feeling well today. Bye.
