We had a nice couple of hours with Mark, very sad to see him leaving so early. Had a chicken, rice and veg lunch, dont think I will want any tea for ages. Mark brought Dad some oatcakes so hes looking forward to eating those. Sad to see the car going with Mark but its no use to us. Beautiful day here, really feel we should be by the sea. bye for now P.S. hope you both are feeling a bit better now.L.M. xxxxxx

Mum and Dad, happy to hear you've been enjoying the oatcakes. I loved being in Dorchester with you, it was horrible having to leave. I was tired last night so went to bed early. Overcome by what I'd undergone. The 8 hours of travelling I mean.

Been for blood test same as last time so keep taking med. as directed before. Been a dull sort of day from rain to a bit of sun, just clouding over again very grey. Went to B/test on the little bus, they are being taken over by another company so the bus was a brand new one right posh for down here. Called into Tesco on the way back for some Atlantic cod for tea. Just done the ironing so am relaxing a bit on this computer. Where are you Karen, hope you are O.K. Dad had the last of his first doz. oatcakes for breakfast this morning Mark, he really does enjoy them. Yes you had a long day traveling on Sat. mores the pity you were not able to take a rest before going back. Anyway it was nice to see you. Well done S and B. with your bike ride yesterday.Though you did say it rained a bit guess it cooled you both down cycling up them there hills round Leek. Bye now love L.M. xxxxxxx

Hehe, we were more over roudn Stone / Cheadle / Uttoxeter, so it was rolling rather than the extreme climbs, you have to opt for the PRO ride to do them .. we are not keen to do that sort of length, though Sam and B keep saying we will do it next year, I am not sure .. I like doing 50 miles, not at all sure about trying to do more than that!
Today sees a little sun in the sky, and I plan to get out with Mr K .. well we dont really have a plan, but he is coming over about lunch time and we will decide what to do to get the most out of the traces of summer ...

Mr K and I did 40 miles yesterday, out to Connah's Quay, which is not at nice as it sounds, well the ride is lovely, mostly tracks or country lanes, but the turning point itself is grim!
We enjoyed the warmth and being out on quiet roads so we can chat easily is always fun.
Today I had the car booked in for a service and MOT this afternoon, I had planned to take it down after the gym, but decided to skip gym in favour of being out in the sun .. then it turned out Sam was driving home past the shed so she diverted over to here and we spent three hours out walking along the River Weaver .. delightful ...

It really is Sunny September now. Good to be able to open all the windows and get some air through the house. Work's a bit manic this week, 3 staff off out of a team of 7, so it's all a bit wild.

Did they all have holidays booked, Mark, or just being ill in the sunshine!
I had a good day out with Liz yesterday, we popped over to the velodrome in Manchester to see a bit of the track cycling for the National Championships, it was interesting ..then we sat about outside a cafe for hours ... hehe
today I will be bobbing about on the ususal stuff, gym, shopping, housework and then going back to Stoke later ...
Then it is my weekend in York with old school mates ... need to pack summer dresses, by the sounds of the weather forecast, woo wooo!

Beautiful here, just tidied round the front lawn this morning, also did some washing its all dry now. Washed the front net its a game with the long rod trying to get it on both ends,Dad helped me so was a bit easier to do. Went to Tesco with the mobility scooter,I walked and Dad rode there, did a big shop,It saves me carrying it all. Sat out side eating strawberries and icecream for a little treat, when we got back home. Have a nice week-end Susan. bye for now L.M. xxxxx
