Off to Manchester to meet up with B's dad soon
or will be if I can drag myself from the pc and off into some clothes! LOL
The windows look amazing, we are really pleased with it all, and trying to not think about the stupid muppet next door .. God knows what his rage is about, I cannot think it is really me, but who knows?
The sun is coming out and we did our exercises and ate lovely berries for breakfast .. happy to be at home!

If Ive not lost any more weight come next weekend Im giving it up, Ive been verging on the very low 11 stoneish mark and just cannot get into 10 stone anything. Been to Teso twice today, essentials first time, then fruit ect second trip. The suns out now, have had a couple of very spotty rain flurries. Not heard from J. so not sure if they are at the caravan. Having my hair permed on Tuesday, its fairly long and these high winds and rain are making it a right mess, I will probably feel scalped when Ive had it cut. Was Dad at the football match.Have a nice time in Manchester love L.M, xxxxx

Busy day here. 1st took the laptop to the Sony Centre, left it with the really pleasant manager (we've spent a fortune in his shop in recent years so he remembers us). He just rang to say it's fixed! Just needs a massive amount of decluttering, defragging etc.
Went to Swinton's to insure the new car.
Went shopping at Sainsbury's.
Back to town to the library and buy Luke some jeans in 2 Seasons.
Home via the station. 32 quid for my single to Dorchester. Depart 6.25 next Sat. Arrive 10.25. xxxxx

Hello .. been entertaining daughter and SIL. three courses today - mixed fish chowder, cold chicken salad (marinated it in a salad dressing overnight, served with feta cheese and olives, sounds strange but tasted nice), and lemon sorbet. Doing the usual Saturday night bread, cheese and red wine as well!
Somerset Arts Weeks for the next fortnight, lots to go out and see - but Somerset is a very large county - shall be busy.

hiya
B's dad is up doing research for his PhD. We pottered round a couple of museums and had lunch in The Corenrhouse with him. We went on the train to save bothering with driving.
Today we have just had a lovely breakfast with Glossy and Fran, our friends from Glasgow. They have been driving around England visiting all and sundry and we were their last stop on the journey. They just left, seems we managed to take three hours over breakfast! LOL -- three courses with long puases! ... berries and yogurt (my usual fare) oatcakes from the shop (local speciality) then finally some croissants and coffee .... with jam B's sister made for us. Lovely
Mum, hey don't give up yr diet, it is a lifetime thing, even if you are not losing weight, you are controlling your diabetes, aren't you? I lost another couple of punds this week despite the comfort eating and chocoalte biscuits while the men were here!
Mark, glad your laptop not seriously akimbo ...

Susan, no wonder breakfast took 3 hours, you had 3 breakfasts! It really was a relief about the laptop, we thought it would be everything lost. But no. And nothing to pay either, though I felt obliged to proffer a 20.
Mum, I agree with Susan about your diet. Keep it up. x

Hi folks. Hope all is well.
It's a shame Sue your neighbours are angry. Was is a noise thing with the work going on? Maybe it was more noisy when you were at the 'shed'? I hope you make peace with them. It is hard to eat 'humble pie', but you may need a good neighbour in the future. When I had my lurcher dog with the problem of 'separation anxiety' he would bark & destroy things if left alone, even for a few mins. I hardly dared leave him & ran to the shops & back. But one day I got a warning letter about the barking. No-one had the decency to ask me what the problem was. I went round the neighbourhood & the ppl behind me said there were lots of complaints. I'm glad I resolved it. After no dog for 14/15 years the ppl behind me say 'hello' (after yrs of ignoring me) & I am glad as now I have a new young cat I may find she wonders in their garden. So even now, I would say, 'sorry' though innocent as it doesn't do to fall out with neighbours. I do hope it works out Sue. .......... Diets are a pain mum&dad, but the secret is to enjoy it. If you feel deprived & cheated you will weaken. Have the odd small treat & then back to the diet. It is worth it, honest. .... Glad your p.c. is sorted Mark. .... Sounds like you are having an interesting time Anne. ... Well just another day here. Will go now as son-&-heir wants me to play Monopoly with family. Bye.

Thanks for the tips, Poe, but no, it was not about noise, it is his sense of territory and an issue about a shared pipe ...
I have been nothing but charm, and wllingness to go along, but he has been aggressive and stalked off when I have offered ways to find solutions ...
he is a Grade A muppet and it is horrible finding totally unjustified anger directed at you .... nasty / mad pair I have living next door to me now .. mostly I can ignore them ... they need good neighbours more than I do, I already HAVE firends in the street, they do not talk to anyone!

Morning .. have drifted back to the shed today, more into the normal routine ... will be at the gym all morning .. thought the weather seems nice, it would be an ideal time to sweep the deck! Living under the trees puts you in a constant-leaf-cleaning-up position!

Hi, Have just re,set this ,I accidentally knocked my connection of and have only just found my password. Thing's are getting back to how you want them ,now then, back at the shed cleaning leaves of every where, jumping up and down in the gym and keeping fit .
Has you will have noticed Mark and Tracy are having our car,he is coming down on Sat ; to get it , insurance details are now in place and it is theirs on Friday Sat midnight. I have to come to term's with the fact I cant see well enough to drive now I have had that laser treatment ,so it has to go,and he had said he would like it so hes got it now.
He did buy it of us, and I know he will get a lot of pleasure and use out of it,we will be sad to see it go, it is a massive change to our convenience, of movement after always having a car to go when ever we wanted to where ever we wanted.
I cant walk now so it is a real pain ,(you can say that again) and I was looking to buy a scooter to put in the car,but now we haven't got that I bought a scooter to be mobile,a good one to get any where ,brand name is TGA model name is BOXER 4,. should get it Tuesday/Wednesday. get it Tuesday /Wednesday,
Hello Pauline, sorry I haven't been in touch but I have spent some time around the hospital and haven't been in a good mood, to talk to any one so sorry about that will get you on the phone later.
Lots of love to all who look on here . Dad xxx

Hiya, I did wonder if Mark's message that he had bought a single ticket meant he would be driving back. He is lucky to have such a good car at his disposal.
I feel sad for you having to give up aspects of your life, dad ... never easy. I will phone you later xxxxx

Susan, we had a bit of that pipe nonsense with the woman next door. The down pipe straddles the boundary (like yours I suppose). We replaced the split ropey old cast iron with plastic, and she was talking as though we'd taken some liberty with her property. Naturally she never offered to go halves on the cost, but at least we didn't fall out about it. Sad to hear your neighbours are a bit pathetic.
I am happy to be keeping Mum's and Dad's car in the family. We will try to look after it of course.
