Seem to be ,making a habit of buying things i cannot use
.... today ..... two pairs of shorts that are a bit too small, but if I wait till I've lost weight nd they fit me then shorts will be ALL sold out and winter coats will be back in .. it'll still only be July, but that's how shops work, innit .. you need to keep ahead of the actual season!

we saw a hare while we were out yesterday, a rare treat ..
when it became aware of us we watched it run over a long field and then jump up onto the dry stone wall at the other end ... very lovely!

my wife just ate mashed potato for lunch with a side-order of crisps! I can't believe it!
then she poured out some ketchup and ate more crisps with that!
football and beer has a strange effect on her attitude to food!

I'd love to have seen that hare!
Wot, no grated cheese on top? Do you have cheesy chips your way, it's a favourite in some of the pubs round here
Random: I wish I'd hidden the mucky mug with all the toothbrushes in it while the estate agent was photographing. There are only two of us living here but we have six toothbrushes, because the old ones haven't been thrown away - they might be useful for those odd little scrubbing jobs ..

Will be glad when all this football comes to an end. A daily dose is an overdose for me.

our conveyancing solicitors have sent through lots of reading matter, forms to fill, etc .... addressed to "Mr Calico" ... grrrr!
Now I realise it happens because of mail merge techniques using databases, so the first name is always the one used, but it's actually quite easy to arrange for 'Mr and Mrs' to be put on official correspondence, especially when it's me who is doing the careful reading and filling in!

Today I feel considerably glum and because I don’t know why, it’s making me anxious that something bad is going to happen.

^^ grring with you Anne.
On a similar note... I'm regularly down as a Mr. on correspondence because my first name is unisex.
