Big Thanks Karen ..
December started with a Christmas Party for me, it was our last French lesson so we had a little party and stories about treasure .. in the end I had forgotten about that bit, though I had remembered to get some food to take .. so I showed them a photo of me on top of Ventoux (on my phone!) and talked about why that feels like a treasure to me ... which was interesting enough ...

Hello folks. Happy December.
Glad you had a good time Sue.
Sorry to ready the bad news about your eyesight cousin Fred. I can understand your dismay. Hope you adapt well to it.
Well I went to Ward 71 today for last app., & to be discharged. The bio-feedback went off quite well as I expected. I seem to be on top of it now.
Next Tuesday I go in to Ward 105 for my hernia operation. I only got the letter today so I rang up & confirmed I would go. It seems the waiting list is quite short for this type of operation. I expected it to be January before I had it done & was quite surprised. I may be home the same night or I may need just one night's stay. I think it's more likely I will be home Tuesday night as I have to be on the ward for 7.30 am. Anyway, wish me luck won't you.
Bye for now.

Have been having trouble in signing in but now sorted. At home at the moment catching up on jobs before returning to Reigate for Christmas. It was lovely to see P & F when we were down there and hope to get to see you again shortly. Are you still at the Shed , we had the caravan drained down for us in case we did not get back in time. Bye for now.

Hi, we are now up and running with a new set up for McAfee direct download. The pooter has always had that one from new but the time had expired , well nearly, so I had to buy some more time . There system for direct down load and not disc is, I think ,very good ,as part of the installation process it takes out all your old MAfee programs so you have no old tat left hidden away.and replaces it with their latest version .
I liked your choice of a treasured thing we have that photo frame with those three pics of you and Brigid on top of that mountain, and that is a treasured possession of mine ,I have it so I can see it every time I sit at the table to eat or do anything ,you look so fit and well on it, it makes me very happy to see you looking so well. love to you both ,Dad xxx

Hi just watched Strictly and got my voting done, gosh its so hard to choose, I kept it down to 3. Dads watching Merlin. Gosh some things gone wrong with our little phone in the bedroom, Mark just rang so I tried to use it and its as dead as a DoDo. We only ventured to Tesco today it was nice and sunny going, but coming back it was cooler because the sun had gone in. Bye for now L.M. xxxxxx

Not seen yesterday's Strictly yet ... so didn't vote ...
I was busy getting going on a new craft project I am going to do .. I might do a few of them if it works out .. more details later!
Today we went out on bikes ot Trentham, mainly for the exercise, despite the rain ... and mainly part 2: so I could sneak another look at this craft project I am using as my inspiration for what I am going to do .. it is the same idea but I will be using my own materials and <cough> sewing skill!

I also spent ages trying to get things set up on B'snew phone -- how tedious things are to set up ... I still cannot get her contacts list to work ... at all .. bored of it now !

Definitely intrigued by the craft project. What are you up to now Susan?
We don't seem to have done much this weekend. Picked up Luke's guitar and amplifier, and didn't do a lot else!
Luke had an essay to finish for English, have to admit to sticking my nose in there a bit. I think it's a bit lame that one of Luke's A level texts is the same as one he had to study for GCSE. R.C. Sherriff's play 'Journey's End' is OK, but who needs 4 years of it?!
Now for an hour of Skyrim on the PS3.

What rubbish to do the same book twice, there is no excuse for that , they could choose something diferent! Craft project is to make a creation for the bit of blank wall in the the kitchen .. I was looking for something and saw summat on sale which I thought was nice, but it was quite pricey .. as unique art rightly is ... but I thought is would be something I could do myself, and would enjoy doing too .. it is a collage of fabric pots -- I sneaked a photo of the original .. then I was on the mission to find my own fabrics and images of pots to use as patterns to do my own version of it .. This is the original .. so far I have got the fabrics and images I want to use, but haven't made the patterns to the right size for my board yet ... will need more time at home on photoshop to do that .. my first go were all a bit too big ...

The craft hobby seems a great idea Sue. It will keep you absorbed. ....... What a bore the school is Mark to make pupils study one piece of literature for 4 yrs. ....... Hope all is well mum&dad. In fact I hope everyone feels well & positive .......... Well it is the real countdown now for me. Tomorrow is the big day! The admission time has altered so I have to be in for 11am instead of 7. 30am, which is better really. I think it will be late afternoon before my hernia op is done. Unless it's done Wed, which I doubt. Not sure if I have overnight stay but I won't be in long that's for sure. So Ward 105 here I come. ..... I'll let you know how it went when I return.

Hope all goes well for you Pauline .. or has done, by the time you read this. Who was your surgeon?
I went to the gym this morning and have bobbed home to do Satsang tonight, and to get on with the craft project, though this is hardly achieving that goal!
We are trying to knock our plans into shape for the next few weeks ... thinking we will stick mainly at the shed and both go to the gym and be very health-farm over the holiday time

Pauline, hope the hernia repair is not too sore. You will be pleased to be rid of that awful ache of the hernia, I do know something about it because I had the same thing about 4 years ago. I had expected to recover within a couple of days, silly me!
